Who is eligible to register to vote?

Be a US Citizen and have resided in Pennsylvania for at least 30 days, and be at least 18 years of age on Election Day. 

​

Residents of Pennsylvania that will turn 18 years old by the next election can pre-register to vote.

What is the deadline to register to vote in Pennsylvania?

The voter registration deadline is 25 days before the day of the election.

This year the deadline to register to vote is October 24, 2022. In Pennsylvania people may also register to vote during the Early Voting period.

What does it mean to pre-register to vote?

Residents of Pennsylvania can pre-register to vote as soon as they turn 16 years old. Pre-registered voters may not participate in an election until they turn 18, and must indicate in their voter registration form that they are not 18 years old yet.

Can I register to vote after October 24?

Pennsylvania does not allow voters to register after October 24  for November elections.

How do I register to vote by mail?

Voters can request an absentee ballot to vote by mail. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is November 1, 2022.
